Life doesn’t slow down for a woman who carries everything. The home, the love, the pain, the memories, the expectations — all of it sits on her shoulders even when her spirit is tired. “For the Wife Balancing It All” is Lucy Tou’s soft, emotional offering to the women who show up every day, even while grieving someone they still love deeply.
This guided meditation moves through the quiet, unseen weight of loss — the kind you tuck away just to get through the day. Lucy creates a sanctuary through her voice, giving wives and mothers a place to breathe, to remember, and to release. It’s a moment of stillness to honor the love that shaped you… and the grief that still lives in the corners of your heart.
Through vivid storytelling and gentle breathwork, Lucy leads you into a sacred space — a place where memory and spirit meet. Here, you reconnect with the one you’ve lost, not through pain, but through the warmth of shared moments, familiar scents, and the feeling of being held again. This meditation helps you return to yourself without letting go of the love that changed you.
“For the Wife Balancing It All” is for the woman managing work, home, healing, and heartache.
It’s for the woman who pours into everyone else and needs a quiet place to finally pour back into herself.
This isn’t just a meditation — it’s a reminder:
You are seen.
You are supported.
And you don’t have to carry it all alone.
Lyrics
Welcome.
In this meditation, we are here to grieve.
Grief has no timeline.
It comes in waves—some soft, some overwhelming.
There are days when the weight of loss feels unbearable,
and others when the world moves on too quickly without the one you’ve lost.
So today, we slow down...
and create space for what’s on your heart.
Begin by finding a quiet, peaceful place in your home.
You can do this meditation lying down or sitting comfortably in a chair.
If you’re seated, rest your hands gently in your lap.
If you’re lying down, place your arms softly by your sides.
Now, take a deep breath in—
Let your belly expand as you inhale…
And slowly exhale, releasing all the tension.
Again—inhale deeply…
Exhale gently.
One more time…
Inhale love, and exhale release.
Let your body soften with each breath.
Now imagine a door in front of you.
This door is unlike any you’ve ever seen—
It’s surrounded by the most beautiful colors, shimmering softly like sunlight through stained glass.
The handle is gold, smooth and warm beneath your fingers.
As you reach out to touch it, a calm, comforting warmth spreads through your body.
You know, deep in your spirit, that on the other side of this door…
you will feel them.
You open the door.
And there you are—
In a place that feels so familiar.
A place of love, of laughter, of shared memories.
A space you and your loved one once created together.
Time doesn’t exist here.
This is a sanctuary—a timeless realm where your grief is safe,
and your love still lives.
You feel their presence.
You sense them near.
Maybe the wind brushes past and carries the scent of their favorite dish...
Or their cologne…
Or the softness of their voice echoes gently in the air.
You’re not sad in this moment.
You’re full—
Full of memory,
Full of love,
Full of warmth.
Know this:
Whenever your heart aches,
whenever the missing feels too heavy,
you can return to this sacred place.
They are always here.
But now, you feel it’s time to return.
Even though every part of you wants to stay,
You understand something deep—
They want you to live.
To keep going.
To fulfill the purpose that’s been placed in your hands.
You are forever connected.
They are part of you, and you are part of them.
You walk toward the door again.
As you step through,
you carry their love with you.
The tears have dried.
Your heart—while changed—is no longer as heavy as before.
When you're ready...
Gently begin to come back into your body.
Wiggle your fingers and toes.
Feel the surface beneath you.
And when you feel ready,
Softly open your eyes.
You are not alone.
And they… are never far.
